My book, The Immeasurable Wilds, gives a picture of the Far North of Scotland, as seen through the eyes of visitors from the year 1600. The sources I have used, wide enough I hope to give a full picture of the Highlands up to 1900, is of course limited. In these sub-pages, I will add observations from other visitors, many of whom I don't mention in the book. I hope these will add to, or support the picture presented in The Immeasurable Wilds.
