Random Observations
For some time, I have been wanting to add pages to this website detailing information that I have found interesting in my readings with regards to the history of the Highlands of Scotland. These will relate to a large number of subjects, from houses to geology, roads to agriculture, etc. I shall list them under categories, attached in the index to this page. Some of them will be from notes that I made in connection with my book, The Immeasurable Wilds that did not make it into the text. It will of course take me some time to build up the information, and I will add to it as often as I come across details of interest.
