A Sketching Tour to Skye, 1967.

It is good to find that sketching tours are not confined to the 19th century. I have a full album of delightful crayon or pastel sketches by Victor Papworth of 6a Cooper Street, Bideford in Devon. He made a trip to Skye in 1967, travelling in November and December of that year, though most of the images suggest a warmer season. He recorded the trip simply in sketches, all titled and signed. The album contains over 70 drawings - I have included only 18 on this slide-show, but I could have shown many more, such is the quality of the artwork. Let me know if you would like to see more!

As always you have the option of clicking on an image, which will display a full image if you think the one on the slide show is cropped, and it allows you to proceed manually.
